Hey folks! Welcome to my world of baking!
There are so many things I love about baking–the delicious smell of browned butter wafting through my apartment, the almost painfully sweet/tart taste of homemade lemon curd, the deep sense of accomplishment when I manage to make a perfect batch of caramel without burning the sugar. But the thing I love most about baking is sharing the things I make with other people, be it family, friends, coworkers, or just my dog, Olivia. But, seeing as I’m getting to the point now where I’m bringing in so many baked goods to work that I’ll soon be facing a class action suit from my colleagues when they all develop diabetes, I’ve decided to start sharing my recipes (virtually, at least) with a broader audience (in other words, you!).
So, starting now, I’ll be posting my (usually weekly) baking adventures on here with recipes so y’all can follow along as I attempt to become proficient enough to become a contestant on the Great British Baking Show. (So far, I really feel like the whole “being British” thing is my biggest hurdle…and maybe also puff pastry.)
